Our recently retired Queen Alysia needs to be rehomed.  She is a very beautiful cat that has a very gentle personality.  Actually, a more accurate description would be timid.  She prefers the company of an individual over the company of several.  Since her arrival she has always been slow to warm up to people, but that just made it feel that much more special when she finally did.  Born approximately two years ago in Odessa, a wonderful Ukrainian city on the Black Sea, she spent her first months in a bathroom.  This created a rather unique and somewhat strange habit.  She uses the shower instead of a litter box.  We tried to encourage/train her to use a litter box, but this simply wasn’t happening.  If she is unable to get to a shower she will use another flat surface.  An empty litter box would work for her just fine.  However, if a clean flat surface wasn’t prepared for her she will use the floor.  To “make” her do anything else was literally torturing her!  So, while she lives with us we make that accommodation for her…because we love her.  So please do not contact us if you are not willing to love her.  If you think you can train this behavior out of her, do not call or write or email.  We are not interested in allowing her to go to a new home to be tortured because you think that you are smarter than we are.  If you are looking for a wonderful cat that will be yours and yours alone.  If you want a cat that never needs kitty litter.  If you are looking for a cat that needs you to want her, look no further.

An ideal household for her would be one with:

A single person or a couple

No children

No other pets

Reunited. It is amazing to think about all the little fur babies that we have had the pleasure of getting to know over the last few years. Yesterday, we received Tux back into our home. Some of you may recall Tux from our very first litter. He was the sweetest little baby with the black and white on his face, he reminded us of Zorro. The reason for his return is that his owners’ jobs now require them both to travel so much that keeping him would not be in his best interest. We are very happy that they decided to do what was best for him and allow him to find a home that will be able to give him the time and attention that he deserves. His health is perfect and he recently just had a very stylish haircut (well he was partially shaved). He is in no way little today 😊

Tux was in a home with 2 adults, no children. While we think he can adjust to children, there will be an adjustment period and patience required on the child's part. Tux has been around one cat (same household) but has never been around dogs.

Tux is loving, vocal and loves to be brushed when he eats. He likes water and lots of attention!

For more details and re-homing cost info please contact us at kittens@eurocoonsmainecooncattery.com. We ask that you submit an application like on all of our kittens. It is very important to us that Tux finds the best match possible and his true forever home.

We will give preference to a household that resembles that of  Tux's prior home as close as possible, but with owners that have plenty of time to spend with Tux and give him all the attention he needs.
